Reservations, Check-in and General Policies:

We highly recommend booking a reservation. Especially during the summer months and holidays. Some reservations may require a deposit or credit card. We have a 48-hour cancellation policy. Late cancellations will lose their deposit. Sorry, that's our policy.

Large parties of 9 or more require a signed contract with a deposit 30 days prior to check-in date. For more information on large group reservations please contact Allen Prohaska at 415.647.4100

There is a $20 key deposit for each key, which is refunded on checkout. Every dorm guest must have his or her own key. You'll be glad you do.

Every guest must present valid government issued photo identification such as a Passport, Drivers License or State ID. This is required by law.

Not that we don't want you to stay as long as you like, but we do reserve the right to require proof of near-future travel of potential guests. Such as a plane, bus, boat, or blimp ticket leaving San Francisco.

Children under 18 years of age are required to stay with their parents in a private room. The dorm rate is applied to additional children on mattresses in the room. Sneaking in children is ill-advised and difficult to pull off.

Pets are not allowed. Not even goldfish. However, guide dogs for the disabled are always welcome.

Visitors of hotel guests aren't permitted in the hotel rooms. They are however, welcome to enjoy all areas of our restaurant Medjool.

Smoking is not permitted anywhere in the hotel except in the outdoor café area and the Sky Terrace (when open).

Food and alcohol are not permitted in the rooms.

Violations by any guest or visitor, especially around our smoking and alcohol policies are treated very seriously.

We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone at anytime.

It is the policy of Elements Hotel Inc.,to require a security deposit in the form of credit card. In the absence of a credit card, we accept cash, cashier check or money order in the amount of $500.00. This sum will be returned to you upon your departure.
Personal checks are not accepted.
